Decanter Retailer Awards & Decanter World Wine Awards.

 
 

The aim of these awards is to celebrate and champion the very best wines and wine retailers out there, rewarding imagination, drive, creativity, energy, evangelism – and even hedonism.

 

Island Media’s role:

Providing sales support to the Decanter team for the last four years, encouraging retailers from across the UK to enter the Decanter Retailer Awards.  Acting as first point of contact for retailer queries. 


Island Media also organised the Decanter Retailer Awards judging day with a team of the UK’s top wine retail experts.
The awards presentation event was held at The Connaught. Island Media organised every aspect of this from sponsorship to ensuring the UK’s top retailers attended as well as the smooth-running of the event.


Since starting to manage this project Decanter has yielded a 216% increase in entries with an average of a 37.6% increase year-on-year for the last two years.

With its strong relationships with merchants, importers, agents and PR companies, Island Media has also worked on encouraging more entries into the 2020 Decanter World Wine Awards.
